From M4 West
- Leave the motorway at Junction 33 (Cardiff West Service Area) signposted Cardiff West, Barry and at roundabout take exit for A4232
- Continue along the A4232
- Come off the A4232 at Culverhouse Cross (junction with A48/A4050), branch left and at roundabout take 1st exit A48 (Cardiff West)
- Continue along A48, at roundabout (junction with A4161) take 2nd exit A4161 (City Centre)
- In 0.4 miles at junction turn right then left into Lansdowne Road (Docks)
- Follow A4161, forward at traffic signals (City Centre)
- At next set of traffic lights (`Westgate Inn`) turn right onto Cathedral Road
From M4 East
- Exit the Motorway at Junction 29, branch left (signposted Cardiff E and S) to join A48(M)
- Continue along the A48, past junctions for Cardiff East and Cardiff West
- Forward through underpass
- At traffic signals (Junction with A4119) turn left onto A4119
- Continue along A4119 until it becomes Cathedral Road
- Sophia House is located on the left after the junction for Sophia Gardens
By Train
- From Cardiff Central Station turn right onto St Mary Street
- Continue up St Mary Street
- Continue up along High Street
- At traffic signals turn left on to A4161 Castle Street
- Continue along Castle Street across River Taff
- At traffic signals turn right onto A4119 Cathedral Road
- Follow Cathedral Road, Sophia House is on the right before Sophia Gardens
